Bushwalking Maps are large scale maps giving as much detail as possible of the roads, tracks and rivers. These are usually at a scale of 1:25K and topographic.

4WD Maps are smaller scale maps covering a larger area showing roads, tracks, rivers and camp sites. These can range from between 1:50K to around 1:300K and some are topographic.

Road Maps are small scale maps covering large areas allowing you to plan long journeys. These show you the major road network, cities and major towns, and usually have some photos and information about the area the map covers. Areas such as Regions, States and Countries are covered by Road Maps.

Topographic Maps show contour lines, height of land, roads, rivers, and other features. Typical scales include 1:25K, 1:50K, 1:100K and 1:250K. These are generally produced by our State and Federal governments.
